Nursing Jobs | How to land your dream role.

Nurses are always looking for new opportunities. Interestingly, our reasons are vast. Research shows that at any given time, there are around 3,000 RNs and 1,000 ENs looking for a new role. Sometimes, nurses are looking for their next step in career advancement. Sometimes, they just want better conditions: whether that’s improved workload, flexible roster or just better parking. Perhaps they’re relocating. A scan of a few journal articles reveals that nursing researchers are using the measure of “intention to leave” as a way of measuring culture or other workplace challenges.

Today from the Nursing and Midwifery Emporium, Nic brings the fabulous and eclectic Shona Grant who’s going to share her tips on applying for nursing jobs. Shona joins us from her recruitment consultancy, Pink Collar Recruitment. Shona has been matching nurses with health services for twenty years. She has pretty much everything in terms of how we nurses approach applying for nursing jobs and landing our dream job: the good, the bad and the ugly.
